Weekly winter menu

Every week in Bezzia we propose two recipes that can help you complete your weekly menu. Varied recipes, so that all of you can find ideas that can be adapted to your needs and your finances. There have been hundreds of proposals in these years, enough to create a winter menu for several weeks.

Giving priority to the ingredients that we find during the winter season and letting ourselves be guided by the food pyramid, we have developed a balanced menu for six days It covers both meals for dinners. And what about breakfast? If we also propose you some breakfasts. They are only proposals, remember that you can find many more recipes using our search engine.

Day 1

Legume stew and vegetable cream

Do you like your breakfasts to be varied? We encourage you to try the following proposals: porridge with almond and banana cream, pumpkin and cinnamon porridge, toast with avocado and scrambled egg, apple cake with walnuts and raisins, zucchini cake without sugar, banana cake, chocolate and walnuts , without sugar, almond cookies without sugar ... you just have to look for them among our recipes and change it!

For the meal of day one we have opted for the legumes as a main dish, a family of foods that occupies the first group of the food pyramid. We could think of many legume dishes, but we have chosen one of our favorites, chickpea stew with prawns. To complete the meal, all you have to do is add a simple salad that includes leafy greens and fruit. And for dinner? Hake fillets on zucchini cream.

Day 2

Rice and green beans

I do not know in your homes, but in our many days you eat a single dish. And the rice either with tofu and vegetables o cod and cauliflower, as we propose today, it seems to us a great alternative. Remember to bet on the brown rice is a better option, they contribute more dietary fiber to our diet.

And as today is about unique dishes, we propose another one for dinner: green beans with ham on pumpkin puree. You can also serve it separately, of course, but I assure you that the combination is worth it.

Day 3

Salad, meatballs and scrambled eggs

The meatballs in pumpkin sauce they become our main dish on day three. Red meat They occupy almost the top of the food pyramid due to their high content of saturated fat, so their consumption should be moderate. In our menu, this will be the only day in which they will be the protagonists along with a simple spinach, pear and beet salad.

And for dinner, a dish that combines foods from different groups and that is very easy to prepare: Scrambled eggs with potatoes and zucchini with prawns. A great option to incorporate zucchini or aubergine in the children's diet.

Day 4

Cream of vegetables, cannelloni and stewed chicken

Pasta is one of the favorite proposals of families. And these spinach and cheese cannelloni they are a safe bet. With a light cream as a starter, of cabbage and apple, for example, you will have the food done. And for dinner? Don't you fancy some chicken thighs gardener?

Day 5

Winter menu with potato stews and rice soup with fish

Another day of unique dishes. Comforting dishes, essential in a winter menu, that will make you warm up quickly. To eat a Potato stew with vegetables. You can choose between a Potato and cauliflower stew in green sauce or one of potatoes and broccoli curry. Add to this last cooked hole like the first and you will have a plate of ten.

For dinner we resort to a rice soup to which you can add, as we have done, hake or any other fish.

Day 6

Baked or Skillet Fish and Falafel

We could not not include in the menu a baked or skillet fish. You can choose between one traditional golden o in chermoula,  or if you prefer a pan-fried salmon. And to accompany it and not spoil that cabbage that you have already used a few days before to prepare a cream, how about accompanying the fish with a garlic garlic cabbage?

For dinner we return to legumes, but we present them in a very different way, in the form of a croquette. As he traditional falafel such as beet or of spinach they are very good options.
