How we like them Bezzia cold cakes for family lunches or dinners! The fact that they can and should be prepared a day in advance is an advantage and they are also as tasty as this cold hake and prawn cake the feast is served.
Ideally prepare the cake the day before so that it can be in the fridge for at least 6 hours. Better if it's all night. So you only have to deal with the day of the party to unmold it on a plate and decorate it if you want with some peeled shrimp and mayonnaise.
It's going to take you a while to do it., not because it requires a lot of work but because the oven time is long, between 50 and 60 minutes. Although you can always take advantage of that time to go ahead with other things or the food of the day. Will you dare to try it?
Ingredients for 10 servings
- 800 g. of clean hake
- 200 g. of peeled prawns
- 5 eggs
- 200 g. of whipped cheese 0%
- 200 g. tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
Preparation
- Steam the hake chopped and sauté the prawns in a pan with a pinch of oil.
- Then, in the blender jar beat the eggs, the beaten cheese and the tomato until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
- Place a tray with water in the oven (in which the silicone mold fits) and preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- Once the hake is cooked, Crumble it up and add it to the mix of eggs, together with the chopped prawns, a little salt and pepper. Beat until only a few bits of fish remain in sight.
- Pour the mixture into a mold silicone for oven and kitchen in a bain-marie at 180ºC for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
- Then, take it out of the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
- Then keep in the fridge for at least 8 hours.
- Unmold and serve the cold hake and prawn cake with a little mayonnaise.
