Swimmer's ear: what is it and how to avoid it?

The causes

How can we identify that we suffer from swimmer's ear? An appointment with a doctor or specialist will solve all your doubts, but there are symptoms you can recognize in the different stages of the infection and that we share with you:

He or she will probably prescribe a few drops that will quickly relieve your symptoms and prevent the infection from becoming more severe or spreading to other parts of your body, such as your brain or nearby nerves. It is very rare, but it could happen if it reaches a very advanced stage without any treatment.

Swimmer's otitis is not usually a serious otitis, complications do not usually appear. However, when due to treatment problems, skin conditions, or unusual infections, symptoms do not improve for months, it can become chronic.
