Very fluffy and with a subtle lemon aroma, so with these traditional muffins that we invite you to prepare. To do this you will only need eggs, sugar, oil, milk, flour, yeast and lemon. Yes, unlike other healthier that we have recently prepared, they contain a significant amount of sugar.

Ingredients (2 dozen)

  • 3 eggs
  • 240 ml. of sugar
  • 250 ml. of oil
  • 250 ml. milk
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 450 g. common flour
  • 1 sachet of backing powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Extra sugar for dusting (optional)

Step by step

  1. Beat eggs and sugar until they bleach.
  2. Then add the oil, the milk and the lemon zest, beating until integrated after each addition.
  3. Sift the flour with the yeast and cinnamon and integrate them into the dough using soft and enveloping movements.

Traditional muffins

  1. Once the dough is prepared take it to the fridge the time needed to place paper capsules in the metal molds and preheat the oven to 230ºC.
  2. Then fill the capsules until little more than half and sprinkle sugar on top. If you have leftover dough, reserve it in the fridge to prepare another batch later.
  3. Bake at 230ºC for about 15 minutes.
  4. Take the muffins out of the oven and let them cool on a rack.
  5. Enjoy traditional muffins with a cup of coffee.
