Suitable baby bottle

The bottle you use should be breastfeeding and best mimic the type of suction that the baby makes when he takes milk from the mother's breast. With this type of bottle, the baby is the one who decides when to stop drinking milk. It is not necessary to force him to finish the entire bottle, when the baby is perfectly satiated, stop giving the bottle and avoid giving more milk than necessary. In addition to this, a breastfeeding bottle will help the baby to strengthen the entire jaw area by sucking as if he were doing it with the mother's breast.

Same as chest

When giving the baby the bottle it is advisable that you do it as if you were breastfeeding. It is good for him to talk or smile at him so that the baby is as comfortable as possible while taking the bottle.  Get in the same position as if you were breastfeeding since in this way the baby will associate it with the moment of breastfeeding.

Boil the water

When preparing the bottle, the step of boiling the water is essential. The water must be boiled in order to eliminate possible pathogens that may be present in the dust. You have to wait until the water is about 80 degrees when adding the powder, so you must wait about 5 minutes before adding the powder to the boiled water.

Adequate amount of powder

After those 5 minutes is the perfect time to add the powder. It is advisable to add a scoop for every 30 ml of water and from there shake well. Then you must cool the bottle with cold water to prevent the baby from getting burned. Remember that if two hours have passed since the bottle was prepared, the milk must be discarded as it could cause a health problem for the baby.

Mother's preference

As happens at the time of breastfeeding, it is preferable that the bottle is given by the mother. In this way, the bond between mother and baby is strengthened, something that occurs from pregnancy and will last a lifetime.  It is not at all recommended that different people give the baby a bottle since it is a very important moment in the life of a baby in which he feels safe. That is why the preference must be the mother and, failing that, the father.
