A few months ago we started with this ecological wave because we have to take care of our the environment and because it is our great home and, from our small place, we can contribute to counteract the effects.
This time we will talk about how separate trash. It is impossible to stop producing garbage, no matter how much we want, we always produce garbage and that garbage must be separated so that it can be recycled better.
There are many things we can do, but to begin with and that it is not a burden, then we will have to follow these tips:
Start by buying garbage bags in two different colors to distinguish where you will dump the different types of garbage. Or, put posters on top of bags of the same color, indicating what goes in each one. Although it is annoying at first, then you will get used to it and feel great knowing that you are helping the environment. In these types of bags you will have to separate the organic waste (food scraps, animal and plant waste) from the inorganic (products made with plastic, glass, metal). To take advantage of organic waste, you can prepare natural fertilizer with it.
Separate from inorganic waste those made of glass. Said material can be melted to produce ornaments or new packaging. Put the paper and cardboard scraps that are not damp in a separate bag, as they can be reused for recycling.
If your city does not have a policy regarding garbage, it will be difficult for you to enforce the classification for waste outside your area. Find out where the recycling centers are in your city to accumulate different kinds of waste and take them once a week.
