In the last decade we have incorporated garments and accessories originally designed for sports activities into our casual outfits. This has happened with walking sandals; sandals with which we now complete all kinds of casual outfits also in the city.
Our priorities have changed. We want to feel, above all, comfortable with what we wear. Hence, first the shirts and then the sandals for walking have become a shoe for everything. And although some consider it ugly footwear, others value it for its style and comfort.
It all started with him Birkenstock phenomenon, specifically with the Birkenstock Arizona model. A sandal with two straps in which many footwear brands have been inspired later to create different proposals. Proposals that I initially denied myself and that I use today when I make comfort my priority.
During the summer we can find Tevas, Birkenstock, and Genuins combined with all kinds of garments. When it comes to walking around the city, enjoying a day at the beach or sightseeing, these types of sandals become a wild card.
In a suitcase they are the first to find their place. In neutral colors like black, camel or nude they give us a lot of play! We can combine them with shorts and a top in the morning to enjoy the beach and in the afternoon, when the temperatures are cooler, wear them with flowing trousers and a fine knit sweater.
We can also integrate them into a style that features a tunic-type dress or a linen two piece set. And they will also work with today's trendy knit outfits. You should only find those that are most comfortable for you and it will not be due to lack of possibilities.
