During the next few months they will arrive on Netflix two new Spanish series. Red Sky will be the first and will do so on March 19. This series from the creator of 'La casa de papel' promises a lot of action and heart attack moments judging by the trailer that we share with you today.
It will take a little longer for the second of the Spanish series to premiere: El inocente. A series directed by Oriol Paulo of which we have already talked to you before en Bezzia. It is based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben that you still have time to read if you don't mind taking the mystery out of its eight chapters. Do you want to know more about both series? Sky Red
It will be next March 19 when 'Sky Rojo' will arrive on Netflix, the new series from the creators of 'La casa de papel'. A series that they themselves frame within the Latin pulp genre and that promises black humor and great doses of action.
The Spanish series already has two seasons confirmed. The first, which will be released on the 19th, will have 8 25-minute episodes, an innovative format for a dramatic series about which its creators have been widely asked.
Thus, in one of the interviews they themselves explained: “As always we seek to make a frantic action but relying on these 25 minutes of duration to emphasize the dynamism of the plot: the flight and the race for survival. In the third act of a movie or of a chapter, all the energy converges and it is the most effervescent explosion of the conflicts that are being narrated, so we consider doing a constant third act and putting our entire story in a funnel of frenzy ”.
Synopsis
Coral, Wendy and Gina, set out on a flight in search of their freedom while being chased by Romeo, their pimp, and his henchmen in the Club Las Novias, Moisés and Christian. Together they will start a frantic aimless journey in which they will have to face all kinds of dangers and live every second as if it were their last. A journey with which they will strengthen their friendship and discover the most important thing: that together they are much stronger and have more options to recover their lives.
The Innocent
On April 30th, 'The Innocent' comes to Netflix, a series directed by Oriol Paulo and starring Mario Casas and Aura Garrido. A cast that is completed by Alexandra Jiménez, Miki Esparbé, Ana Wagener, Jose Coronado and Susi Sánchez.
Paulo has been accompanied in the scriptwriters room by Jordi Vallejo (You will not kill) and Guillem Clua (National Prize for Dramatic Literature in 2020), while Sandra Hermida and Belén Atienza, regular collaborators of JA Bayona, will be in charge of executive production.
This thriller that will be resolved in eight chapters is based on the homonymous novel by Harlan Coben. Set in Spain, it tells the life of Mateo, a man who was convicted of interceding in a fight and accidentally becoming a murderer. Produced by Sospecha Films and Think Studio for Netflix, its team of scriptwriters are Oriol Paulo, Jordi Vallejo and Guillem Clua.
Synopsis
One night nine years ago, Mateo was involved in a fight and accidentally ended up becoming a murderer. Now, nine years later, he is trying to start over with Olivia, his pregnant wife. But an inexplicable call from Olivia's cell phone while she is traveling puzzles Mateo, who will begin a frantic race to discover the truth. His innocence will be questioned again, this time by Lorena, a police inspector investigating a suicide case.
There is nothing left to watch these Spanish series on Netflix. Do any of them catch your attention? Personally and after seeing the trailer I will admit that I am very curious to see Sky Rojo. If it has the same intensity, the series that promises! As for The Innocent I prefer to wait for the formal trailer to be able to judge.
