Massimo Dutti, fall-winter 2014-2015 collection

Massimo Dutti

The Massimo Dutti firm is always a safe bet for a timeless look with a more classic cut, a perfect option for creating outfits on the coldest days. Despite its conservative image, the brand always surprises us with news, especially its careful limited editions. But let's go step by step, we will begin by unraveling the keys to your fall-winter 2014-2015 collection.

Once again, Massimo Dutti shows us that winter is his thing. The elegant capes, tall boots, tailored coats, fur pieces… An exquisite lookbook with garments designed to experience the winter season in all its splendor and with a riot of style.

Massimo Dutti has once again trusted the photographer Mario Testino for its autumn-winter 2014-2015 campaign. Its characteristic elegant and relaxed style goes perfectly with Inditex's signature garments and accessories. As the main protagonist, and taking over from Carolyn Murphy, until now the firm's muse, we have the top Sasha Pivovarova. The Russian is accompanied by models Shaun de Wet and Matthew Terry in a rather bland campaign, but as always, very correct and very elegant.

Neutral colors are the true protagonists of the collection, very low risk in terms of its color palette. Grays and browns are the most popular colors when winter arrives, and although I personally miss a little more color, it must be recognized that these tones are perfect for an office look.

Neutral colors and few prints

a3

Beige, ocher, indigo blue and gray in all their shades, dye the garments in this collection, in which we also find some details of blue and, of course, the essential black and white pairing. The metallic details also have their space, but always in their most discreet and restrained version, no strident glitters but small sparkles in silver or gold.

The collection is especially sober and serene, little given to prints. Just some garments in which you bet on classic prints such as Wales squares or trendy ones such as camouflage.

a4

As for the fabrics, the firm does not take risks and bets on materials that never disappoint its clientele: cashmere, leather, leather or wool.

Horse Collection

A7

One of Massimo Dutti's bets for this autumn-winter is the 'Equestrian Collection', a tribute to equestrian clothing, a style that goes so well with the firm and that serves as inspiration for such established fashion houses as Gucci.

a6

The collection is a limited edition inspired by equestrian tradition, in which we find versatile and timeless pieces such as leather jackets, padded vests, velvet blazers, riding pants, shirts or polo shirts.

689 5th Ave. Collection

a8

The other limited edition that Massimo Dutti proposes for this autumn-winter is the collection '689 5 th Avenue Collection', a selection of garments with a more exclusive character and with a higher price, which will only be sold in the flagship stores of the signature. Anja Rubik once again collaborates with Massimo Dutti starring in the '689 5th Svenue Collection' campaign, embodying an urban and modern woman who bets on first-class fabrics and takes risks with a pattern that breaks patterns.

a10

Traditionality and trend go hand in hand in this limited edition in which silk, leather or cashmere garments stand out. The color palette, although somewhat more diverse, is also tinted by neutral colors, such as camel or gray, and we find more variety of patterns.

November Lookbook

a11

With the month of November the thermometers plummet and it is time to release the sweaters and outerwear. Massimo Dutti's new lookbook for this month shows us that the halftime looks are over, winter is coming and summer clothes no longer have a place in the wardrobe. The wool sweaters with wraparound collars, the comfortable and versatile sparkas, the fur-filled boots, the men's coats or the sheepskin jackets are now the stars.

a12

The goal is to keep warm, even if you don't have to give up elegance and style to do so. The most comfortable and warmest garments can also be elegant and feminine, such as wool maxi jumpers or versatile capes. And even better if we combine them with the star footwear of this winter, the musketeer boots that feel so good and that are sweeping this season.

a13

Foolproof basics

The most basic garments can become our best ally when the cold arrives. A black turtleneck sweater, gray pleated trousers, an ecru cardigan, a biker-style leggings, a long tailored coat or a blazer are some examples of the perfect purchase for this season.
