Valentine's Day is approaching, and here you have come looking for that inspiration. And it is that, what better gift than a flower with crepe paper made with our own hands for the occasion.
Today I tell you how to make crepe paper flowers with a good presentation idea. Let's do it!
Materials
- Crepe paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Brush
- Branch or wooden stick
Our Process
- We cut 8 or 9 pieces of crepe paper, and divide them into 4 pieces. Two small ones, and two larger ones.
- We fold the paper, and cut shaped like a small petal.
- Next, we do the same, with a slightly larger petal.
- Finally, with the two largest pieces, we cut an even larger petal-shaped one, and another with a heart shape.
- The one with the heart shape, with the help of a pencil, we roll up, to mold the paper. This is the one we will start to paste first.
- With the help of the brush, we smear the surface of the tip of the branch with glue, and we place the piece in the shape of a heart. It should be well rolled.
- Once we have the first one, we place two or three more around it, just as we have done with the first. This time, As we put them, we open the pieces a little, so that they give us slack, and a feeling that the center of the flower opens.
- After that, we start by placing the small petals around. To place them, we will cut through the center, if we had not already done so, to place them individually. We will also roll the paper, but instead of on the sides, from top to bottom.
- After the small ones, place the medium petals, and finally the large ones. The flower should look like the image, practically the same as a real one.
- Cut a strip or two (I only used one at the end) of green crepe paper and we cut a ridge shape, and another longer and smoother.
- We place the smooth from top to bottom. To do this, we join the first part with glue, and we roll it to the end, where at the end, we will glue another bit of glue.
- The crest, we roll it at the top, as I show you in the image. You can optionally add leaves with the green paper. They are details that give the flower naturalness.
And we already have it! I wanted to make two flowers at first, but when I finished, I liked the idea of presenting only one on the bed, surrounded by the remaining petals. It is an option, a safe bet. You can deliver it together with a box of chocolates, which we also know we will not fail. From here on, just wish you what a happy day together!
