Gay Pride Madrid
It is one of the most anticipated moments of the year. It must be said that it is one of the most important events in all of Europe. More than a million attendees, have come to congregate in a party like this. For this reason, we know that we are facing one of those essential celebrations, no matter where you look at it. During a week a design is made of all the activities that are going to be presented. As we have mentioned before, it is about concerts, parades or sports competitions among others. Right in the center of Madrid, in the Chueca neighborhood is where a party like this takes place. The basic idea of all this is that no one should be ashamed of being who they are or feeling what they feel, regardless of their sexual orientation.
Pride festivities, the proclamation
One of the most important moments of the festivities is the proclamation. This takes place on Wednesday, July 3. Despite the fact that the Pride for Diversity parades and race began last weekend, there are still unique moments. In this case, always a famous person is the one who is in charge of the moment of the proclamation and this year 2019, who better than Mónica Naranjo to kick off some very important days for everyone. This same day there will be several stages with a diversity of performances.
- The Pedro Zerolo stage welcomes La Plexy and shortly before 21:00 p.m., Mónica Naranjo will arrive to make way for the 'Black and White' party.
- The sun stage will feature various performances such as Kiko and Sara, La Húngara, Brown sugar o Falete, among others.
- The Plaza del Rey stage will star Sofía Cristo at 21:15 p.m. and an hour later, Javiera Mena will appear on top of it.
The Heel Race, on July 4
The next day, in Chueca and starting at 18:00 p.m., the Heels Race. With this there will be a total of 22 editions, so we are facing another of the magical moments of the week. Without forgetting that from 20:00 and in the scenarios mentioned above, we will once again have all kinds of performances. Among them, we can highlight La Década Prodigiosa, Amparo Sandino or Soraya, among others.
On Friday 5th, Mr. Gay Pride Spain
At the Puerta del Sol you can enjoy the 12th edition of the acclaimed Mr. Gay Pride. This moment will take place from 22:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Where 16 finalists from all parts of Spain, will face the great final choice. Who will be the presenters? Luján Argüelles and Omar Suárez. During this contest, we will be able to enjoy the performances of Gloria Trevi, Mel C or Mikolas Josef.
On the other hand, it must be remembered that at 20:00, that is, two before the contest, the music will be present again on the stages mentioned in advance. Although in this case one more will be added which will be the Puerta de Alcalá stage and where we will see Marta Sánchez, Agoney and Ricky Merino, among others.
The Manifestation is Saturday's programming
Another of the most important days and events is the moment of the demonstration. The representatives of the organizing entities will be those who lead a demonstration like this. Therefore, it will first consist of a claiming part and then, they will begin to parade the floats. In them, both the music and the atmosphere will invade the streets. The start of it will be at 17:30 p.m.
On Sunday 7th, the closing of the Madrid Gay Pride festivities
To close a week of various events, nothing like doing it in a big way too. Again, the stages will be ready to fill this moment with music. Both the Plaza del Rey stage and the Puerta de Alcalá Stage, they will be in charge of saying goodbye one more year to one of the unique and special moments of the year.
