Fashion Weeks begin

NYFW Fashion Week

La Fashion Week in New York has already kicked off a month in which we will enjoy four of the most important events in the world of fashion. On the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris we will be able to discover the prêt-à-porter proposals of the big firms for next spring 2018.

Yesterday Tom Ford was the first to present his proposals at the Park Avenue Armory, thus opening a seven-day marathon that will turn the Big Apple into the epicenter ofl world of fashion. A marathon that we will give you a good account of in Bezzia and which will be followed by others until on October 3, Louis Vuitton closes Paris Fashion Week.

New York Fashion Week

Even with great absences, New York Fashion Week will offer us great shows from September 7 to 14. Raf Simons one of the first to test himself, will present his second collection for Calvin Klein, will it surprise us? Also important parades will follow such as those of Tory Burch, Jason Wu, Mara Hoffman, Jeremy Scott, Del Pozo and Alexander Wang, among many others.

Tom Ford

New York will also witness the new stage of Helmut Lang and the work of new promises in the world of fashion such as Maryam Nassir Zadeh, who ventures into ready-to-wear after demonstrating her talent with accessories, or Priscavera, who combines simplicity and provocation in equal measure in her proposals.

London fashion week

London will replace New York as the epicenter of fashion. The London appointment will have two great protagonists: Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. The former will present its collection at the Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell with a major event. The second, will close the fashion week with Gigi Hadid with 2000 attendees and a great party in the Roundhouse concert hall.

London Fashion Week

They are the shows that are giving rise to the most talk, but for that reason we should not overlook Armani, Erdem, Ralph & Russo or the appointment with emerging designers such as Molly Goddard, Faustine Steinmetz or the TOGA brand, the last to join the London calendar.

Milan Fashion Week

From September 20 to 25 the 'front row' will be brought to Milan. The parades of Gucci, Jil Sander, Prada, Mani and Versace will be some of the most important in this Fashion Week. Gucci will once again break the "less is more" rule on the catwalk on September 20 at the hands of Alessandro Michele. His collection will have little or nothing to do with that of the designer duo, Lucie and Luke Meier, creative directors of Jil Sander.

Paris Fashion Week

What better closure than Paris? The city will once again witness a frenzy front row and backstage that will not escape the flashes of the photographers. Natacha Ramsay-Levi will present her first collection for Chloé on Thursday 28th. By then, they will have shown their Saint Laurent, Maison Margiela and Kenzo collections, among others.

Fashion Week

They will be followed by the no less important Carden, Balmain, Isabel Marant, Elie Saab, Altuzarra or Givenchy among others. "Classic" firms that will share the catwalk with other more unknown and / or provocative ones such as Undercover, Anrealage or Comme des Garçons by Rei Kawakubo.

These are some of the moments that are to come in the Fashion Weeks until Paris closes this marathon that has already started in New York. A marathon in which we will see fashion both on the catwalk and in the front row or on the street. And everything will be recorded so that we can analyze and discuss it together week by week. Join the reviews that we will do in the "fashion" section of each of the Fashion Weeks.

And you, what do you expect from Fashion Weeks? Do you expect any concrete parade with greater enthusiasm than the rest? Who do you want to surprise you? Who do you think won't? Go ahead and tell us.
