Are all laser hair removals effective?

With the arrival of summer, one of the things that worries us the most is waxing. What type of hair removal do I do? Will it be effective? Hurts? Today I want to tell you about my experience and the difference between the different laser hair removals. Not all are the same or affect the hair in the same way and effectiveness. But ... do you know the difference?

A month ago, I started my laser hair removal treatment with the center Spazio Health and Beauty, with the Atenea® type laser, a type of laser with which you hardly notice pain, it affects the hair follicle in a deeper way, and which is also much faster than the normal laser (Alexandrite and Diode).

What difference there are?

  • El Alexandrite laser It is for fair skin. In dark skin you have to lower the power a lot and it translates into a lengthening of the treatment, that is, instead of 6 sessions on average you end up doing double or triple, so, a priori it seems cheap but then it is not so much Unless you have the ideal phototype: light skin and dark hair.
  • El Diode laser, it has a longer wavelength than the other options available on the market (800nm compared to the 755nm of the Alexandrite laser), so that this laser penetrates the skin a little more, so it is especially suitable for darker skin or for thicker and deeper hair. It can also work well for lighter skin but as long as the hair is thick or medium. It is not especially recommended for people with very light hair. Although it is for people with dark skin, the results are not always guaranteed, since they can vary in terms of the particular conditions of each person. In some cases, it can also cause small burns, pain or discoloration and redness of the skin.
  • El Athena laserIt is a Diode laser, but it is a medical laser, that is, it is more precise and therefore more effective. It has a wavelength that reaches 808nm while other lasers used for hair removal, such as the Alexandrite laser, reach up to 755nm. In addition, between shots, there is a cooling that is imperceptible to the human eye since it occurs in milliseconds. This cooling is done so that the skin does not overheat and thus not be damaged, especially in dark skin.

Just tell you that I have started with a session and I have already noticed the results. The next one, I have it in a few days, with a space between one session and another of a month. So I am delighted.
