The career of the designer Josep Font at the helm of Delpozo could not be more satisfactory. After having become a reference of the New York Fashion Week and conquering the celebrities from Hollywood with his proposals for the red carpet, the couturier has tried his luck with his first Resort collection, starring the star print.
On this occasion, Font's inspiration draws from cinematographic sources. Specifically, the dressmaker has recreated the imaginary of George Méliès, a film pioneer, and the Frenchman's obsession with the sun, the moon and the stars. Font has captured his own idea of outer space in a collection dominated by the interplay of volumes and textures.
The designer's other source of inspiration is the work of abstract sculptor Anthony Caro, reflected in the organic silhouettes and perfectly executed geometry of the garment.s. Petal-shaped bows, trapezoid shapes, drapes, bows and knots are some of the keys to the collection.
There is a main color in the first collection Crucero de Delpozo and that is the klein blue. Striking, pregnant, and very pictorial, it is the star color that coexists with raw tones, sand or white, as well as garments in grass green, aquamarine, lime or lemon yellow.
