One of the most anticipated and also applauded has been that of Josep Font for Delpozo. The firm presented its first Cruise Collection after several seasons triumphing in the show calendar, and the proposal has not disappointed anyone.

The career of the designer Josep Font at the helm of Delpozo could not be more satisfactory. After having become a reference of the New York Fashion Week and conquering the celebrities from Hollywood with his proposals for the red carpet, the couturier has tried his luck with his first Resort collection, starring the star print.

On this occasion, Font's inspiration draws from cinematographic sources. Specifically, the dressmaker has recreated the imaginary of George Méliès, a film pioneer, and the Frenchman's obsession with the sun, the moon and the stars. Font has captured his own idea of ​​outer space in a collection dominated by the interplay of volumes and textures.

The designer's other source of inspiration is the work of abstract sculptor Anthony Caro, reflected in the organic silhouettes and perfectly executed geometry of the garment.s. Petal-shaped bows, trapezoid shapes, drapes, bows and knots are some of the keys to the collection.

There is a main color in the first collection Crucero de Delpozo and that is the klein blue. Striking, pregnant, and very pictorial, it is the star color that coexists with raw tones, sand or white, as well as garments in grass green, aquamarine, lime or lemon yellow.

Josep Font has once again demonstrated in this collection his good work when choosing the materials and combining them in the looks presented. Linen, cotton poplin, raffia jacquard, Egyptian cotton jersey, tulle or silk organza are the main fabrics.

As for the accessories, the two new bags of the firm stand out. Font has created two models, the 'Bubble' and the 'Orchid', one designed for the night and the other for the day, in new materials such as satin silk, nubuck or polished leather.

Every Chanel fashion show is, in itself, an event. But this one, in particular, met all the requirements to become one of the great events of the year. And it is that for the first time, the maison landed in Cuba, country chosen as the setting for the presentation of its new Cruise Collection, and turned the show into an act that goes far beyond fashion.

Karl Lagerfeld bet on Cuba as a new stop on his tour and the island turned upside down with the brand's parade, which paid off tribute to Cuban culture in each of his looks. White and black predominated, lace-up shoes, panama hats and even berets like those popularized by Ché Guevara.
