We like these cookies, in addition to their taste, for their simplicity. Just mix all the ingredients, shape the cookies and wait for the oven to do its job. Then you will have to be a bit delicate when handling them; no dipping them in milk or you will run out of them.

They are not crunchy cookies, they are squishy cookies and very easy to eat. Some perfect cookies to give you a sweet treat in the middle of the afternoon. Ingredients

  • 130 g. oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 70 g. of honey
  • 60 g. date syrup * (see step by step)
  • 40 g. melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 5 ounces chopped chocolate

Step by step

  1. You do not have date syrup? You can prepare it at home. Put 8 pitted dates in a bowl to soak in hot water for 10 minutes. Then, beat the dates with part of that water until you get a syrup. Ideally, you should add the water little by little until you achieve the appropriate density.
  2. Pre-heat the oven at 180 ° C.
  3. Mix in a bowl flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add the honey, the date syrup, the butter and the cinnamon and mix until everything is well integrated.
  5. To finish with the dough incorporate and mix the chocolate chopped. The resulting table will be a slightly moist dough.

Chocolate honey oatmeal cookies

  1. With the help of two teaspoons gives a rounded shape to small portions of dough. Place them as you do on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone griddle.
