Napolitans Chocolates

Who doesn't like chocolate Neapolitans? We are sure that most of you would not reject one like the ones we are preparing today in BezziaAre we wrong? With a crispy puff pastry and a creamy chocolate filling, they are perfect for a sweet treat.

Preparing these chocolate Neapolitans is very simple and that is their danger. when you discover how easy it is to make them and how little it takes, you will not settle for doing them just once. And it is that they are a great accompaniment for that morning or afternoon coffee that we enjoy so much on the weekend.

How many Neapolitans do you want to prepare? With the amounts we use today three Neapolitans come out something smaller than the commercial ones or four smaller ones. If it is not enough, you will only have to use two and not a sheet of puff pastry. The way to proceed will be the same but you will not have to cut any sheet in two but stick one with another. Probably now you don't understand it, but when you read the step by step you will see it clearly!

Ingredients for 3 Neapolitans

  • 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
  • Sugar glass
  • 4 tablespoons of Nocilla or other cocoa cream
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Syrup (4 tablespoons of sugar + 5 tablespoons of water)
  • Chocolate noodles

Step by step

  1. Unroll the puff pastry sheet. Sprinkle with icing sugar and then cut it into two halves widthwise.
  2. Then flip one of the halves and brush with water on the side that you now have in view.
  3. Put the other half on top, so that it is the part not sprinkled with sugar that sticks with the first.
  4. Then pass the roller a little. The objective is not so much to stretch it, although it will do so a couple of centimeters, as to adhere both parts.
  5. Once done, place the cocoa cream in the center longitudinally, as you can see in the following image.

  1. Then take one of the sides of the puff pastry and fold it over burning cocoa. Then take the other side and fold it over the first.
  2. Turn the package over so that these folds are facing down so that they do not open in the oven and cut into three or four pieces, depending on the size of the Neapolitans you want to prepare.
  3. Place the Neapolitans in the oven tray on parchment paper (you can use the same one that comes with the puff pastry) and brush with beaten egg.
  4. kitchen in the oven preheated to 180ºC 20 minutes, until the puff pastry has puffed up and is golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup Bringing the water and sugar to the boil for a few minutes.
  6. Once the Neapolitans are cooked, take them out and let them cool for five minutes before brush them with the syrup and place some chocolate noodles on top.
  7. Then, let the chocolate napolitans cool on a wire rack.
