Grilled Chicken Orange

Roast chicken is a great proposition when we do not want to complicate in the kitchen. Simply season the chicken, place it along with some vegetables and greens on the baking sheet and wait for it to do its job. Doesn't seem like a bad plan, does it?

This Grilled Chicken Orange It is just another way to cook the same ingredient. One that will probably take you out of everyday life but without great risks. Although the orange flavor is perceptible, it is very mild, so, probably, even the most reluctant to try new things will grasp it willingly.

We have accompanied the chicken this time from onion, potatoes and carrot, but you can improvise and add those ingredients that you like the most. Ingredients (for two people)

  • 2 potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, in eighths
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 2 chicken thighs
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 1/2 can of beer

Step by step

  1. Preheat oven to 200ºC.
  2. Put in a baking dish potatoes, onion and garlic. Water with a drizzle of oil, season, add the rosemary and mix well. Bake while you prepare the thighs.
  3. Clean the chicken thighs and salt and pepper before incorporating in the oven dish with the vegetables.
  4. Now, mix in a bowl the orange juice and the beer and pour the chicken and potatoes with the resulting mixture.

  1. Bake 25 minutes at 200ºC and then turn it over, taking the opportunity to water the chicken with the juice created at the bottom of the source. Bake another 20 minutes and water again with the liquid.
  2. If the chicken is sufficiently done, raise the tray to the top of the oven, turn on the grill and let the skin is toasted. First on one side and then on the other.
  3. When it's to your liking, take the orange roast chicken out of the oven and serve it with a salad.
