DIY: turn your old jeans into a bag

Recycled denim bag

We love DIY because thanks to them we can have endless details and of course, fashionable, with simple steps. It is about recycling everything that we no longer use and that is taking up space in our closet. In this way, both our look and our space will thank us.

Today we are going to see how to transform some old jeans in a bag very casual and perfect to accompany us during the spring days that await us. Surely you already know some ways to transform pants and there are many ideas that swarm the network to achieve it, so today we are going to see this very simple one.

Surely you are one of those who, despite the fact that you have a large number of bags, they always seem few to you. Well, if so, today you will have one more in a matter of minutes and for this you need a pair of pants that you no longer use, a pair of scissors and a little thread and a needle. Now what follows is very simple because we have to cut long strips of fabric with the scissors. They will be the ones who give us the bag width that we want so they must all have the same measure.

If they are not exact, there will always be time to pass the scissors again. When we have them all, we have to divide them into two parts. You will place one part of them on the table, together and stretched out and with the others we will have to cross them. In what way? Well, horizontally we have to pass each strip above and below the ones we had on the table.

Denim fabric

Thus, we will be able to make a panel in the shape of small squares and that will be the reason for our DIY in the form of denim bag. You must make two panels, since one will be the front of the bag and another the back. You have to sew the sides and the bottom of it leaving the top open.

When it is sewn, we turn it over, so that in this way that part of union is not seen and remains inside our complement. Now you just need to add some handles that again, will be two more strips that you will sew in the upper area of the bag. Try it, you'll see how simple!
