50s makeup

The XNUMXs were an aesthetically sexy, elegant and Feminine Fitted high-waisted pencil skirts and Marilyn Monroe heels. The woman returns home, becoming an exemplary mother and faithful wife, and is always impeccable and well-groomed, or she enters the world of work, being a professional with the appearance of a goddess.

The makeup respects the structure of the forties but with less character, more naturalness and more color. The eyeliner it is still marked and with more "tail", protruding from the outside of the eye.

The shadows were in turquoise and blue tones, with thick, "dove-wing" eyebrows. In the 50's makeup took a radical change, the skin is still pale but without that sick feeling of the previous decades.

Introduced the color in the eyelids, A very loose "banana" was marked in a blue or brown tone, it was blended very well, and the upper delineation was marked with eyeliner, closing in a shape of seven.

La mouth it was of course in the shape of a strawberry or heart,, with neither thick nor thin lips and always in dark tones, or passion red. Regarding the blush, a marked blush was used below the cheekbone, in natural tones such as pink.

The makeup of the 50s is one of my favorites, and the way to highlight eyes and lips is still very fashionable today. In short, it is a very discreet makeup as well as sophisticated. Pure elegance, as we can see in today's hit series Mad Men, which reconstructs that era, in which women looked like real divas.
