Massimo Dutti recently presented a new editorial spring-summer 2021. An editorial that under the title New Edgy offers us proposals for the day to day and that it shares with others edited by the firm previously the commitment to a natural palette, although with striking nuances.
When you take a first look at New Edgy, the first thing that catches your eye is the prominence that certain garments take on, such as linen shorts, tie dye print shirts and ribbed t-shirts. Garments designed for enjoy the summer in comfort.
The color palette
Accustomed to much more conservative editorials when it comes to color, it is surprising the such a wide color palette for which the firm has bet on this. A bright color palette in which neutral tones are combined with other vibrant ones such as oranges, pinks and greens.
Tie Dye motifs
In a publishing house where most of the garments are plain, tie dye motifs do not go unnoticed. We really like the shirt and skirt set in white, brown and blue tones made of cotton and silk. But even more so the shirt in orange and pink tones, made of 100% ramie fabric.
The essentials of Massimo Dutti
All the belted linen bermuda shorts they become an essential garment for Massimo Dutti this season. In neutral colors they are very versatile, however, we cannot take our eyes off the model available in green and purple in this editorial. And we love the idea of combining it with a shirt and a double-breasted jacket.
Knitwear is another key to the collection, especially pleated skirts and ribbed tank tops. Along with these also stand out the over-shirts or shirt dresses that serve as a coat and that in colors such as beige or khaki combine with everything.
